Tanenbaum Keale LLP partner Dennis Vega recently presented “How to Train Today’s Lawyers to Cross Examine Witnesses Effectively About Events That Took Place Before the Computer Age” at the 2018 Defense Asbestos Litigation Seminar held in Nashville with WFBM attorney Charles Sheldon.

Vega and Sheldon shared techniques that plaintiffs use to avoid answering questions during their depositions, along with ways defense attorneys can attack those answers.

“Too often, practitioners simply move on to another line of inquiry, rather than continuing to probe,” Vega said.

Vega also provided useful tips on additional areas of examination that are routinely overlooked by many defense practitioners, thereby thwarting their clients’ ability to avail themselves of other defenses.
