The Defense Research Institute (DRI) recently announced Tanenbaum Keale LLP partner Tim Freeman has been elected as its incoming New Jersey State Representative.
In this role, Freeman will serve as a liaison between the national organization and New Jersey membership, advising on issues impacting the state’s legal community and promoting visibility for the organization. He will attend monthly conference calls, the annual regional meeting, and the DRI annual meeting to help facilitate these duties.
Freeman focuses his practice at TK on the litigation of product liability and catastrophic personal injury matters. His clients include manufacturers of heavy equipment, industrial and consumer products, and automotive products. He is an active member of DRI, “the leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel” providing access to resources for attorneys serving clients and corporations in all types of litigation. DRI’s mission involves:
- Enhancing the skills, effectiveness, and professionalism of defense lawyers;
- Anticipating and addressing issues germane to defense lawyers and the civil justice system;
- Promoting appreciation of the role of the defense lawyer;
- Improving the civil justice system and preserving the civil jury; and
