David S. Blow
Special Counsel
David Blow focuses his practice on mass tort litigation with particular experience in product liability and toxic tort matters.
Mr. Blow plays a crucial part in Tanenbaum Keale’s National Coordinating Counsel team, serving both as primary and local defense counsel for a global industrial contractor and product manufacturer, as well as local counsel for other equipment and product manufacturers. He assists in the management of a large docket of asbestos cases in New Jersey and handles all aspects of complex mass tort matters and associated litigation on behalf of the firm’s equipment manufacturer clients.
With an emphasis on providing legal pathways focused on protecting the value of a product, business image and financial stability, Mr. Blow plays an integral role from inception to trial and through appeal, having experience as part of national, regional and local counsel teams. He expeditiously executes on document discovery, expert testimony development, depositions and motions beneficial to clients regardless of the eventual course of the litigation.
Specific to environmental and toxic tort matters, Mr. Blow has defended clients in asbestos, chemical exposure, environmental spills, and silica cases, providing sophisticated, efficient and effective defense aligned with the risk and exposure each case poses. He collaboratively works to avoid litigation but brings proven ability to work quickly when faced with instances or alleged instances of chemicals, waste or other hazardous materials being discharged, leaked, spilled or mishandled; being inhaled, ingested or absorbed by workers and/or members of the public; or contaminating air, ground or water; as well as any other chemical or environmental factor leading to damage, illness, injury or death.
In addition to his product liability litigation work, Mr. Blow has served as a trial counsel on behalf of leading insurance companies in personal injury defense and insurance fraud matters. Prior to joining Tanenbaum Keale LLP he spent 15 years with Sedgwick LLP, litigating on behalf of companies in product liability, pharmaceutical liability, toxic tort and premises liability matters and preparing cases for trial.
