Tanenbaum Keale attorney Pamela Kaplan will chair the Young Lawyers breakout session during the three-day DRI Product Liability Conference, scheduled for this week in Austin, Texas.
The session, scheduled for Wednesday, will include presentations on various topics of interest for product liability attorneys, including the in-house counsel’s perspective on distinguishing oneself as a junior attorney, the treatment of software as a “product” for purposes of product liability litigation, and the continuing impact of social media on litigation strategy.

Kaplan’s private practice focuses on the areas of asbestos, environmental and toxic tort, and product liability litigation, providing clients with critical thinking and creativity for defense strategies in complex legal matters. She is an active member of DRI (Defense Research Institute), “the leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel” providing access to resources for attorneys serving clients and corporations in all types of litigation, and currently serves as the Substantive Law Liaison and Engagement Chair on the Young Lawyers Committee.
