Kelly A. Belnick


Ms. Belnick focuses her practice in areas of complex litigation. She concentrates on cases involving mass torts, toxic torts, environmental and product liabilities. In these matters, Ms. Belnick takes an active role in all stages of litigation from pretrial proceedings and discovery to trial and resolution. Ms. Belnick’s strong science and medical background enable her to understand the challenging issues facing her clients and how to leverage litigation strategies to advance their interests.

Before law school, Ms. Belnick was a science educator specializing in advanced biology studies, anatomy, physiology, and environmental science. She worked as an emergency medical technician and taught the EMT certification course. Ms. Belnick was editor-in-chief for the Pace Environmental Law Review. She graduated from law school cum laude with a certificate in Environmental Law.

Ms. Belnick is an active participant in pro bono projects and was the 2012 Rookie of the Year for Outstanding Performance at the New York City Office of Corporation Counsel. She is an American Heart Association CPR and first aid instructor.

Ms. Belnick is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York, the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York.

Ms. Belnick is an experienced litigator and represents companies of all sizes in federal and state court, as well as before federal, state and local agencies. Her prior experience includes serving as a significant contributing attorney to National Resolution Counsel for a major-medical device manufacturer in multi-district litigation. Ms. Belnick has defended corporate clients in actions brought by individuals for personal injuries from asbestos exposure and she has represented health care facilities against claims of malpractice, negligence and wrongful death.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Belnick worked for the New York City Law Department, where she defended the City of New York, its agencies and officials against high exposure, high damages civil claims. There, Ms. Belnick managed all aspects of litigation including serving as counsel for state court trials, negotiating significant settlements for the City, and successfully arguing dispositive motions.
